Over the years, Cook & Galloway General Engineers has acted as a backbone engineering company to the Waikato providing many services and solutions directly to the public or to other general engineering firms with heavy or special build components their workshops are not set up for.
We have repaired or supplied many products either fully built, as a kit set, or just provided the steel cut to length or shape depending on needs. Our workshops contain a large range of light and heavy equipment. The range of our equipment and skill sets allows construction of smaller through to larger fabrication, either to one off customer design or jigged production work. The size and skill sets within the company provide a one stop shop for all solutions.
General Engineering Equipment
We have lathe machinery capable of work up to 2.7 metres diameter or 3 metres long and hydraulic press work to 400 tons. The main machine workshop is supported by many heavy and light fabrication tools consisting of pressbrakes, folders, plate rollers, section rollers, swages/jennys, punches, and guillotines.
Arc, mig, tig, and spot welding are available for all types of materials. Including ASME IX 2004 and NZ2980 certified welding.
Five large workshops give us space for undertaking a large base of fabrication work at the same time.
The versatility of our facilities backed by the skill sets of our experienced trade staff and project managers allow many diverse services to be provided, and often lateral thinking in solutions.
